How do I tag products automatically?
Requirements
To tag products automatically, you need to:
- Have Instagram Shopping enabled. If haven't set it up yet, follow Instagram's guide.
- Connect your account with Meta for Business. Read our guide How to connect using Meta for Business
With this feature, you can tag products automatically on Instafeed - Instagram feed, based on product tags from your Instagram posts. This allows you to create and maintain shoppable feeds automatically. Follow these steps to enable automatic product tagging on Instafeed:
- Go to Shopify > Apps > Instafeed > Settings.
- Check the box Auto-tag products.
- Click Save.
Instafeed will automatically get product tags from your Instagram posts.
Common questions
- Can I still tag products manually if auto-tag products is enabled?
Yes, enabling automatic product tagging doesn't prevent you from tagging products manually. You can still add additional tags whenever needed.

- How can I remove product tags added automatically?
To remove products tagged via auto-tag products, you need to delete the tags in your Instagram post. Deleting automatic product tags directly on Instafeed is not possible at this time.
- After enabling auto-tag products, do I need to save my feed for the product tags to appear on my posts?
No, product tags will appear automatically.
- Can I create automatic product feeds with automatic product tags?
Yes, you can create product feeds that update automatically based on your Instagram product tags.
