How can I tag products automatically?
Requirements
To tag products automatically, you need to:
- Have Instagram Shopping enabled. If haven't set it up yet, follow Instagram's guide.
- Connect your account with Meta for Business. Read our guide How to connect using Meta for Business
Follow these steps to enable automatic product tagging on Instafeed - Instagram feed:
- Go to Shopify > Apps > Instafeed - Instagram Feed > Settings.
- Check the box Auto product tags.
- Click Save.
Instafeed will automatically get product tags from your Instagram posts.
Common questions
- Can I still tag products manually if auto product tags are enabled?
Yes, enabling auto product tagging doesn't restrict manual product tagging. You can still add additional tags as needed. For step-by-step instructions, read our guide: How do I tag products?
- How can I remove product tags added automatically?
To remove products tagged via auto product tags, you need to delete the tags directly in your Instagram post. Deleting auto product tags directly on Instafeed is not possible at this time.
- After enabling auto product tags, do I need to save my feed for the product tags to appear in my posts?
No, product tags will appear automatically.
- Can I create automatic product feeds with auto product tags?
For the time being, automatic product feeds do not work with auto product tags.
