Common issues when connecting with Instagram

Issue 1 - Connected the wrong Instagram account


If you connected the wrong Instagram account, such as your personal account, follow these steps to change the Instagram account connected to Instafeed.



Issue 2 - Not logged in on Instagram


If you encounter the error message below, it indicates that you are not currently logged in to Instagram on your web browser.

Solution:

  • Log in directly to Instagram and ensure you use the credentials for the account you want to connect to Instafeed.
  • Go to Shopify > Apps > Instafeed - Instagram Feed and Connect with Instagram again.


Issue 3 - Activity off Meta technologies currently turned off


If you are encountering the error message below, it indicates that a configuration within your Facebook account is impeding your ability to use Instagram apps.

Solution:

  • Go to this page in your personal Facebook account
  • Click Manage future activity


  • Select Connect future activity


  • Ensure that all page admins have the Connect future activity setting on
