Common issues when connecting with Instagram
You can find a resolution to the most common issues when connecting with Instagram by clicking the links below:
- You connected a wrong Instagram account

Issue 1 - Connected wrong Instagram account
If you connected a wrong Instagram account, such as your personal account, follow the steps here.
Issue 2 - You are not logged in on Instagram
You are getting this message:
because you are not logged in on Instagram on your browser.
To solve this:
- Login on Instagram on your browser.
- Go to Apps > Instafeed and Connect with Instagram again.
Issue 3 - Activity off Meta technologies currently turned off
If you are getting this error message:
{"error_type": "OAuthException", "code": 400, "error_message": "Your activity off Meta technologies is currently turned off."}
it means that a configuration in your Facebook account is preventing you from using Instagram apps.
To change that setting:
- Go to this page in your personal Facebook account: https://www.facebook.com/off_facebook_activity
- Click "Manage Future Activity"
- Make sure “Connect future activity” is selected.
- Keep in mind that all page admins need to have that setting on.
Issue 4 - Other issues
If you are facing any other issues you can also try:
- Log in directly to Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/accounts/login/ and make sure that you use the credentials of the account that you want to connect to in Instafeed.
- Go back to Instafeed in a different tab in your browser and hit “Connect with Instagram” again. Instagram should no longer ask you to log in and present you with a window to accept permissions to our app “Mintt Studio.”
